Safety Education Courses

Course History

2023 begins our 18th year offering safety classes at Ascension Hospitals.  We have completed 80 classes with 3060 students certified. We have held 46 Boat Safety classes and 34 Combined ATV and Snowmobile Safety Classes. 

Course Objectives

To reduce the potential for accidents, injuries and fatalities; to reduce the potential for conflict between participants, landowners and other resource users; and to promote safe, responsible and ethical use of the environment and our resources.

Class Locations

Classes are held at Mercy Hospital in Oshkosh and St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton. 

Class Cost

Boat Safety is $10 and ATV/Snowmobile Safety is $20. These fees includes all course materials. 

Class Dates

Classes are a minimum of 10 hours over 2 weekends days or 4 weekday evenings. Boat Safety Classes are typically in March, April and May. ATV / Snowmobile Classes are typically in November, December and January.
